Zazie O. Beetz was conceived in Berlin on November 21 1991. Her father was an German Cabinet Maker who came to live to America. United States following the fall of the Berlin Wall. The auditions began immediately following having graduated from college. After a few auditions in Atlanta, she landed the part of Van. Zendaya became vegetarian when she was 11after she walked past a killinghouse together with her dad on a roadtrip. She tells PEOPLE, "I thought it was awful, all those animals being packed inside the slaughterhouse, ready to be slaughtered. It shocked me that I used this method of obtaining meat. The girl has been eating mostly vegetarian diet ever since.
