The babies were asleep in their cribs while I was strapped in with an infant to my back. Ha! The house was starting to appear nice, however there were a few things that needed to be left. It was going to take lots of time and money as well as my favourite brands of furniture furnishings for this house. To stay within budget, I began going with my boys to estate sales in search of diamonds. We would go from Thursday to Saturday at garage sales and estate sales, buying old and new furniture. I was able to outgrow my space because I owned plenty of pieces that I needed. In my own home, I would host open houses in which more than 1000 guests could visit to purchase anything they wanted from the first floor in just one weekend. Growing Days was created in this home. The business I was running was growing and my family was also growing. In some ways, I had found the perfect equilibrium between motherhood and starting my new company. Growing Days was the obvious decision. Nora my 4th child was born in the year 2013. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I was forced to take some time off. I took a break from furniture that was vintage to enjoy the time I needed with my children. It was just what I wanted. But after a short time, my phone began getting busy. I was getting calls from people needing help with the interior decoration and improvements. A majority of them were people who visited my home in my open houses for furniture. As I went along, I added customers to my client list in a series of. But it wasn't long before I had multiple clients and ran a profitable home improvement business. When you first told me about your home remodeling business I laughed. It's hilarious to look back on the idea.
