Laura Linney, best known for portraying strong, but weak characters, is among of the most celebrated American actors of our times. While spending her summers in the home of her father her interest grew for the stage. While at Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. Following her graduation she started her Broadway career. The following year, she began her career she was on television. Her appearances have been on a variety of television, film and stage programs since. In her long professional career, she's received several awards. Some of them include 2 Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. Although she received many awards through the years, performing is always her main love.
