Katherine Heigl has opened up about her childhood in "a white bubble." The actress also discusses how this experience has affected the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. She revealed in an interview recent interview that, with regards to skin colour, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister, who was adopted in South Korea she realized just the way society views them. "I wanted to know Meg what she thought about being different when she went out with our parents and those who went out alone. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl told her parents she realized how foolish she was. She became enraged, and she decided to channel her anger into assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl is engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They have took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black, in 2009.
